Hi, I’m Kay

Some moments ask more of us than others.

A difficult conversation. A leadership challenge. A major organisational change. The death of someone we love.

I help people navigate those moments with clarity, compassion and confidence.

For more than two decades I held senior leadership and executive roles in complex organisations, including Newcastle University, leading significant services, managing large teams and budgets, and working closely with boards, governing bodies and senior decision-makers.

I know what it feels like to carry responsibility, make difficult decisions and lead through change when there are no easy answers.

That's the perspective I bring to my work today.

Today, my work spans executive coaching, consultancy, workplace mediation and Humanist funeral celebrancy.

The settings may be different, but the heart of the work is the same: I support leaders, teams, families and organisations when life or work feels complex, uncertain or emotionally demanding.

My approach is calm, practical and human and what connects all of my work is a belief that people do their best thinking, decision-making and problem-solving when they have space, support and perspective.

Whether I'm working with a leader, a board, a team, or a family, my role is to help people make sense of what is happening, navigate complexity with confidence, and find a way forward that feels right for them.

That remains a privilege every time.

I'm based in Newcastle upon Tyne, and work with clients across the UK.

my story

I've spent more than twenty years in senior leadership and executive roles across higher education, commercial organisations and the charity sector.

I've led complex services and organisational change, managed large teams, and worked at executive and board level on governance, risk and strategy.

I've sat in the seat. I know what it feels like to carry responsibility, to make difficult decisions, and to lead people through uncertainty.

I don't offer theories from the sidelines. I bring the perspective of someone who has spent more than twenty years leading people, services and organisations, working with boards and senior stakeholders, navigating change, managing risk and making decisions that carried real consequences.

I understand the realities of leadership because I've lived them myself.
